Every year, millions of Americans get hurt on the job. Have you been injured at work? Lyrad Health can treat your work-related injury, starting from your initial physical exam to final recovery.

What is a workers’ compensation medical exam?

Much like a regular physical examination, a workers’ compensation medical exam includes an assessment of your injuries. We receive authorization from your employer or insurance provider, go over your injury and conduct a thorough physical examination. We will also go over any secondary side effects you’re dealing with that occurred since the time of the injury. After the exam, we will determine the best course of treatment for your occupational injury.

At Lyrad Health, we focus on acute injury and management. If we decide that your condition requires specialty care or physical therapy, we can refer you to the right specialists or work with your primary doctor.

When do I contact a workers’ compensation doctor?

Before contacting us for a workers’ compensation-related injury, you’ll need to obtain authorization from your employer and/or your insurance company. You should also notify your primary care doctor about the injury. Your primary care doctor will continue to manage any chronic medical conditions you might have while our team handles the specific work-related injury.

Once you file your claim, we can schedule an evaluation and begin treatment.

If you have any questions about this process, feel free to contact us.

What types of work-related injuries do you treat?
